Breakfast Green Smoothie

Want a quick and nutritious breakfast or snack? Try this creamy green smoothie. It contains good fat and protein which helps to balance your blood sugar and keep you full for longer.

Ingredients (serve 1)

1 small ripe banana

½ medium ripe avocado

250ml unsweetened almond or cashew nut milk

40g frozen baby spinach leaves

40g chopped kale (or bok choy)

1Tbsp hemp seeds

1/4 small green apple

Cold filtered water

Blend all the ingredients in a smoothie maker or a jug blender until smooth. Add a bit of cold water if it is too thick and blend again. Enjoy immediately or can be kept in the fridge for a few hours.
