Every human body is biochemically unique, and therefore there is NO single “right diet” that applies to everyone.
We have different genetic backgrounds, different preferences, and different lives. We all want to be healthy, but most of us have not figured out how to make food and dietary patterns serve that goal.
At NUTROLOGICA, our approach to nutritional therapy is functional medicine, a medical paradigm emanating from the Institute for Functional Medicine in USA. Functional medicine considers bio-individuality (e.g. diet, lifestyle, genetic factors) and views the body as interconnected groups of system including digestion and assimilation, defense and repair, energy, structural integrity, communication, transport and detoxification. The biochemical mediators as well as psychosocial stress, trauma, cultural influences and beliefs accumulated over an individual’s lifetime may become excessive (known as allostatic load) and may interact with our genes which influence gene expression resulting in manifestation of ill health conditions.
We aim to apply evidence based nutrition and functional medicine approach to address the biochemical imbalances through dietary and lifestyle interventions that support optimal body functioning and focus on helping an individual to work towards better outcomes.
We are committed to educate, motivate and support our clients to be proactive in their own health.
