A functional test for assessing intestinal permeability (leaky gut) and gut inflammation. You may choose either blood test or stool test or both: - Blood test measures IgG and IgA antibodies against zonulin, candida, occludin and lipopolysaccharides (LPS). Requires finger-prick blood samples. - Stool test analyses 3 biomarkers including calprotectin, alpha-1 antitrypsin (A1AT) and pancreatic elastase (low levels may indicate pancreatic insufficiency causing compromised digestion, nutrient malabsorption, gas and bloating.) Increased gut permeability (i.e. leaky gut syndrome) and inflammation is the underlying cause of many chronic health conditions. 'What's in the gut doesn't stay in the gut.'
